Nigypt Gantt Chart

Above is our project's Gantt Chart. We are currently in week 9 and due to the late addisions to the concept of our project, the design and database phase are still being done while working on the coding aspect of the project. We have decided that each member would handle one of the 2 programs in the project and we are currently working on creating the interfaces.

Update 21/3/2010: We are currently in week 10 and we have created the interface for one of the 2 MIDlets and are still trying to figure out how to take/upload a picture using a MIDlet. We are also working on creating a servlet to communicate with the MIDlet and database. By the end of next week, we should be able to connect the MIDlet to the server and start testing.

Update 4/4/2010: We have finished creating the poster and waiting to prsent it this week to the class and see if any changes need to be made. We have also resolved the taking pictures using a Midlet part and created a login form too. Next step is to create the servlets that will get the forms' details from the 2 Midlets and do the needful (update database, request ambulance, request fire departemnt, lookup the location)

Update 11/4/2010: We have finished the application the drivers would use to request the police, ambulance and/or fire department and finished testing it and are almost done with the application the police would use to record accident details, saving the picture in the database is what is left. We have also finished creating 3 different web pages for the police, ambulance and fire department which gets refreshed every 10 seconds with the requests of the drivers updated in theor respective web pages. Have also invited Dr. Sandra, our secondary advisor to the final presentation.

Update 14/4/2010: Project is completed and documentation is updated. The final presentation is tomorow at 12:00pm.

The DigMan(Game)

The project is about to create a game which is for portable game consoles. The main objective of this project is to create a game not more than 100 MB size that shows some Middle Eastern concepts in the game.
The game would be a treasure hunting game which has some Middle Eastern concept to fulfill the requirements. It will require some graphic designing to make the visual part of the game and also programming the game and database which would be an embedded database. By the end of the project this game is a complete game which can easily run on portable game devices.
